dicast cars

Postby 25TRacing » Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:38 pm

Does anyone know if there is a site that a person can go to and see what some of these dicast cars are worth, I have quite a few that are just being stored in a box and wouldnt mind getting rid of some of them but I dont want to give them away.

If you have hotwheels, this is the best place to go. They are a few years behind as they let the market settle before posting values.

Did anyone go to the K-Mart days last Saturday? I got my favorite treasure hunt (rarest cars on the market) yet, actually I got three of them.

Just curious why you took all three?

We didn't take all three, there is one per box which they draw tickets for to get an unopened case. Me and both of my sons got a ticket to get a box. There is usually one single Super Treasure Hunt mixed in the boxes which is super rare and can bring some $$ on E-Bay when you consider the $1.00 purchase price.

The number of boxes each K-Mart gets during these special K-Mart days varies. The one I go to, got two master cases which I believe menas 16 unopened boxes to go through. They always draw ticket numbers for the boxes. They have 3 or 4 of these each year.

You can also find Treasure Hunts at other stores, but they are hard to find as many times people have connections with the people in the stock rooms and they get pulled before making it to the floor.

That's cool for your family.
Nice looking car.
I have some weird looking mini Hot Wheels I would pick up from a gas station giveaway back in the early 70's down south.
Now I'm going by memory, as they have been in the storage garage in Florida for 5 years but,
one had a outhouse on it, one had a fire hat, one had a canopy bed and I can not remember the others.
If and that is a big if, I ever find them again, your kids can have em, unless they were available in Iowa and you have them.
