Tony Stewart is from Washington Iowa and
he ran Late Models at West Liberty Speedway and many other tracks in the
late 80's. The first picture shows a steering wheel that he
developed in 1983 called the "paw saver" after he lost his thumb
in an accident at West Liberty Speedway in 1981 when his thumb got caught
in the steering wheel.
His son Steve now races at West Liberty
in the Modified division and is the 4th generation race car driver.
